1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy
At ApoioLabs, we believe that your digital workspace is your own. TopShelf was built with a "Privacy by Design" philosophy. This means that we don't just protect your data, we avoid collecting it in the first place.
This policy explains how we handle information across the TopShelf macOS application and our websites (https://apoiolabs.com and https://topshelf.apoiolabs.com).
2. No Data Collection
TopShelf is a "local-only" utility. We operate on a Zero-Data Collection architecture.
2.1 The Application (TopShelf)
- Local Processing: All window management, pinning, and app settings happen strictly on your Mac. We have no technical access to your screen content or the windows you choose to pin.
- No Telemetry or Tracking: We do not track how you use the app. There are no hidden analytics, crash reporters (unless manually sent), or "phone home" features.
- No Accounts: You do not need to create an account to use TopShelf. Your configurations stay on your device and are never synced to a cloud server.
2.2 Our Websites
Our websites are informational. We do not use invasive tracking cookies, pixels, or third-party scripts to profile our visitors. If you email us for support, we will only use your email address to help you with your request.
3. Purchases and Payments
TopShelf is distributed through two channels: the Mac App Store (primary) and Gumroad (alternate, and where the free trial is hosted). ApoioLabs does not see or store your credit card details on either channel.
3.1 Mac App Store
- Payment Security: All payment processing is handled by Apple.
- What we see: Apple provides ApoioLabs with anonymized sales reports. We do not receive your name, email address, or any billing details.
3.2 Gumroad
- Payment Security: All financial transactions are handled securely by Gumroad.
- What we see: We receive a basic record of the transaction (your email address and license key) so that we can verify your purchase and provide customer support.

4. Security
Because TopShelf stores all data locally, the security of your app settings is as strong as the security of your Mac. We recommend using standard macOS security features, such as FileVault and keeping your system updated, to protect your local files.
5. Legal Compliance (Philippines)
ApoioLabs is based in the Philippines. We comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
Because we do not collect or store your personal data, your rights, such as the "Right to Erasure" or the "Right to Access," are protected by default. If we don't have your data, it can't be breached, sold, or misused.
6. Changes to this Policy
If we ever change how TopShelf works in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and change the "Last Updated" date at the top.
