Mini apps · Pomodoro

The timer, in plain sight.

Pomodoro works when the countdown is impossible to miss. TopShelf ships with a built-in Pomodoro mini app that floats always-on-top from your menu bar, so the timer stays in sight while you focus. Classic 25-minute work and 5-minute break cycles with a clean countdown.

How to do it with TopShelf

  1. 1 Open TopShelf from your menu barClick the TopShelf icon in the macOS menu bar.
  2. 2 Pick the Pomodoro mini appChoose Pomodoro from the mini apps list. A floating countdown opens on top.
  3. 3 Start a PomodoroTap start. Focus for 25 minutes with the timer floating above your work, then take a 5-minute break. Repeat. The timer stays visible even when you switch spaces or go full-screen.

Anyone who runs on Pomodoro cycles: developers, writers, students, designers, researchers. Great as an always-visible replacement for a menu-bar timer that hides after each cycle.
