Task lists work when they stay in sight. TopShelf ships with a built-in To-Do mini app that floats always-on-top from your menu bar, so your next action stays visible while you work. Sort by created date or priority, group by tag, check off tasks with a tap — all stored locally on your Mac.

How to do it with TopShelf

  1. 1 Open TopShelf from your menu barClick the TopShelf icon in the macOS menu bar.
  2. 2 Pick the To-Do mini appChoose To-Do List from the mini apps list. A floating task list opens on top.
  3. 3 Add and check off tasksAdd tasks, group them with tags, sort them how you like, and check them off as you go. The window stays above every other window until you dismiss it from the menu bar. All tasks are saved locally on your Mac.
